I've tried many, many, many, many, many different moisturizers. Some expensive, some not. Some exotic, some you wonder what the origin of the ingredients are. But I ALWAYS come back to cetaphil lotion. Why? Well, first of all, I have oily skin. But, it is dehydrated oily skin. This moisturizes perfectly without making my skin an oil slick. Let's' face it, I've used so-called "Oil-free" moisturizers that have made my skin an oil slick. And whenever I've used products that have irritated and/or broken my skin out, this is the ONLY product that brings my skin back to life. It's affordable, too. That's another bonus. I'm always looking for the holy grail moisturizer. And until I find it, I will always resort to cetaphil. Cetaphil recently changed their lotion products and no longer sell the product you see pictured here. I was excited to see I could still buy this product online because it was the only lotion I like. Miller "mom to boys" (Midwest) - See all my reviews    This was recommended to me by my dermatologist as a good and effective moisturizer - I suffer from early stages of rosacea and most moisturizers cause me to break out terribly. Having said that, I have to also say, I find this moisturizer to be a little "heavy" for my face unless I'm in the middle of that terrible winter facial dry-out. I cannot use this during the summer months, but during the winter, when the flakiness starts in, this product works well. It's also a wonderful hand and body lotion, which doesn't leave a greasy residue. If you're used to that kind of lotion, this product will almost seem to disappear, as though you need to add more. I would definitely recommend Cetaphil moisturizing lotion -especially to those with sensitive skin. But most other moisturizers I've tried make my face shine right away. This product feels lighter, less oily, and less shiny than the following 3 brands: - Cetaphil Fragrance Free Daily Facial Moisturizer, SPF 15 - Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream for Dry, Sensitve Skin - Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel How well it does its job: it's effective on skin constantly made dry and sensitive by Benzoyl peroxide and Retin A products. If I overdo it, dry itchy skin usually gets back to normal after one application, and redness disappears after one-two hours. SPF 15 has worked well enough to protect against sun sensitivity caused by Retin A and the sun of South Bay Area, CA. Adverse effects: None for me. I did not find it too oily or greasy - one of the reasons that I switched to it was becuase I found it to be much lighter than the Clinique Daily Moisturizing Lotion that I had been using. I could even use this product during the summer, when it is very hot and humid where I live. Neutrogena makes great products. Highly recommended.
